is it the apocolypse?

Is it the end of the world?

Today I'm thinking that it might be.

There is a Miley Cyrus video where she is working a pole coming out of an icecream truck. Here she pole dances at the teen choice awards.

In the DRC, girls my daughter's age are being raped with machetes and machine guns as a systematic weapon of war.

Also in the Congo, boys younger than my daughter are being used in the battlefields, as shields.

All of this is over the minerals used to build my lap top that I'm writing this post with. Yours too.

It is indeed the apocalypse.

The Temptations had it totally wrong when they sing, "And the only safe place to live is, on an indian reservation."

*gulp*

They have it totally wrong! Have they ever been to the rez? Not safe at all. There was a rape and murder of a community member last year at this time on my family's rez.

As my Mother would say, "The world has gone to hell in a hand basket." I concur!
